Project Overview

The Trail Foundation's (TTF) mission is to protect and enhance the Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail at Lady Bird Lake in Austin. TTF works to improve the Trail with infrastructural and environmental projects. In preparation for creating an arts and culture strategic plan, TTF wanted to engage local community members and artists to determine a set of goals before writing their call for proposals to ensure that the strategic plan will be representative of the community from the start. Civic Arts led a gathering of artists and community members. They organized their ideas into guiding questions and themes while conducting national best-practice research on effective calls for arts and culture strategic plans.
